SEO and PR work hand in hand, with PR efforts fuelling SEO success through the acquisition of valuable backlinks, brand exposure, and improved online reputation. Both disciplines contribute to a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aimed at maximising online visibility and driving targeted traffic to websites.
Go Up is now looking to take its PR offering to the next level and is seeking an experienced agency-side PR professional to lead the growth and development of the department.
Job description
We are seeking a seasoned PR professional to join our team as the Head of PR. In this leadership role, you will oversee the development of our PR department, implementing new PR processes, and ensuring that PR strategies align seamlessly with our existing SEO services. Your previous PR agency experience will be invaluable as we navigate this exciting expansion. You’ll have the opportunity to pitch for new business, take on a lead client-facing role with our biggest PR clients, and eventually expand your team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop a PR team, starting with three direct reports, with potential for team expansion
- Develop, implement, and oversee PR strategies and processes that complement and enhance our existing SEO services
- Maintain an active role in pitching to new PR clients and forging strong, beneficial relationships
- Lead client-facing interactions with our key PR clients, ensuring their satisfaction and success
- Collaborate with other teams within the company to ensure alignment of goals and strategies
- Monitor and report on the performance of PR campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, implementing new ideas into our PR strategies
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 5 years agency-side PR experience and to have reached at least Associate Director level
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of how PR integrates with SEO
- Proven leadership instinct
- Excellent pitching skills and experience winning new business
- Strong client-facing skills, with a proven track record of maintaining successful client relationships
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adept at creating and implementing PR strategies and processes
- Ability to adapt to the changing landscape of PR and SEO
