Unmissable opportunity for an exceptionally talented and experienced candidate to spearhead the next phase of our growth. Working alongside the senior team, you will take a leading role in securing new business, developing existing client relationships, and diversifying the sources of our leads.
The primary objective of this brand new role at Go Up is to take a leading role in our ambitious growth plan: to treble turnover within 5 years.
Founded in 2011, we’re proud to still be an independent agency, and we’ve built an enviable client roster through our reputation alone. In 9 years we’ve spent less than £10,000 on marketing and business development, and despite that have grown into an agency employing 25 of the very best people with offices in the UK and USA.
Your role will be to help take us to the next level, bringing in more leads and closing more business. As the first person in the agency with this sort of role, you’ll report into the two directors and have the opportunity to assemble a new team around you.
The role will include:
– Streamlining and improving our pitching, proposal and closing process
– Diversifying our lead sources beyond referrals and organic search
– Following up with and pursuing all inbound leads
– Building an outbound business development strategy
– Producing new business proposals, pitch decks and presentations
– Building and maintaining a rapport with new and existing clients
– Introducing and pitching other services we provide to existing clients
– Improving our website to support your role, for example keeping it up to date with case studies
– Handling new business agreements and contracts
We’ll provide you with everything you need to do your job as effectively as possible, such as a marketing budget and preferred software/CRM subscriptions.
Initially you’ll work closely with the heads of department and the two directors to fully understand the business and immerse yourself in our culture. You’ll also be supported by the directors’ EA.
We’re looking for someone who gets their energy from sourcing and winning new business, and who does so in a friendly and transparent way that instills trust and confidence in our product. Our culture and reputation is built on these values. You’ll be a seasoned agency operator who’s seen it all, and ideally you’ll have overseen the significant growth of an agency in a similar to position to ours.
You won’t be afraid of the fact you’ll be the only person in your department, at least initially, and you’ll have a track record of working effectively on your own as well as earning the buy-in of other key members of a team to meet your targets.
You’ll have lots of experience (at least 5 years) successfully selling at least two of the following services:
– Website design and development
– PPC (Search and Social)
– Website maintenance packages
– Organic social media management
This role is full time, and will be based in our Shoreditch office. At the time of writing, every member of the team is working from home, but as Covid-19 restrictions are loosened and it is safe to do so, we will be gently encouraging employees back into the office. At current estimates, we’d expect that to be around February or March 2021, but that is of course subject to change.
The basic salary for this role will be determined by your level of experience and expertise. We will also be paying you commission on successful new business wins. The specifics of this will be discussed later on in the hiring process.
